FAQs

Do I have to register?

We highly recommend registering as many classes fill up and seats are reserved for those register.   Additionally, we cancel classes with less than four registrants, so please make sure to register as you never know when you might be the fourth person.

How do I register?

It’s easy to register for our fun classes! Simply visit the Calendar link on our website.  The current month’s classes will be shown and you click on the picture for the class you want to attend.  You will be directed through registration.  If you are registering for more than one person, choose to “add Attendee” to include them.  When you register for the class your card will be charged for the class fee amount. Cancellations within 72 hours of class is non-refundable. There are no exceptions on this policy.

How far in advance should I register?

As early as possible to ensure that you will have a space.  Our studio is limited to 30 seats.  Private Events may be planned up to a year in advance.

What are your studio hours?

Since we do private and public classes in studio and offsite at different times, 7 days a week, it’s hard to say! You can often find some of our fun instructors working on their artwork during the day, however, we don’t keep regular office hours so please feel free to call us at (239) 352-8900 if you need to schedule an appointment to plan an event.

What do I bring with me?

You don’t have to bring anything, however, you are welcome to bring any drinks (Our studio is BYOB for adults 21 and older!) and light snacks.  Private Events may bring additional food items, however space is limited and we do not have a kitchen, so there is no refrigeration, coolers or ice available.

What if I am running late?

We start our classes promptly at the posted time.  Students arriving more than 20 minutes late will not be admitted and funds will be forfeited.  Students arriving late will be checked in as soon as the instructor is available but will need to catch up on their own.

What if I have never painted before?

No problem! We specialize in people who think they can’t!  Our classes are designed for all levels, from never held a paint brush to professional artists.  Our fun and helpful instructors guide you step-by-step in creating your masterpiece.

What if we take longer than the allotted time?

For public classes, if you choose to paint longer than the time allotted , our instructors are required to charge $5 per person per half hour for their time to stay.  Sorry, no exceptions.  For Private Events, additional studio time is available at a per hour rate.

What is the Cancellation/Reschedule policy?

Cancellations within 72 hours of class is non-refundable.  We know that emergencies, sickness and other events happen, however, the cancellation policy is in place so that we can appropriately plan our classes and space . There are no exceptions on this policy.

What is the difference in a Private Party and a Regular Class?

Private Parties are just that..private.  So the studio is exclusive yours to use during that time block.  Private parties get to choose the painting that they do and can bring in additional food items.  Public classes are open to all, so come by yourself or with a group.  Paintings for public classes are preselected and posted online.

What is the minimum age?

Our evening classes are designed for adults and are BYOB for those who are 21+.  Teens, 13+ are allowed to paint, however those 13-16  must be accompanied by a painting adult. Our Saturday morning kid’s classes are designed for kids. Children. 6 and older. may be dropped off, children 4-5 years old must have an adult stay with them. Adults are welcome to paint in the children’s class and pay the children’s rate, but do need reservations as well.

What is your refund policy?

What should I wear?

Wear paint appropriate clothing.  Our paints are acrylic and can stain. Masterpiece Mixers takes no responsibility for paint stains so please make sure to dress accordingly.

When should I arrive?

Studio doors normally open 30 minutes prior to class start time and we highly recommend arriving at 10- 15 minutes early as our check in process takes a few minutes to get everyone signed in, paint distributed, etc.
